"a magnificently authentic holiday time capsule. Shrug off 21st-century stress at this authentic 1920s wagon, tucked away in a wild-flower meadow. It’s compact and cosy — picnic opportunities and the pastoral idyll surrounding it provide all the space you need, and for bucolic calm, it can’t be beaten." Magically tucked away in a whole acre of  wildflower meadow, surrounded by a small woodland beside a stream, hidden in a valley, a Romany wagon appears .....

      The Romany Gypsy Wagon

The Romany Caravan/Gypsy Wagon is an original, built in the 1920’s. The Wagon is set in its own acre of private no sharing riverside meadow and woodland, with a cosy Hi-spec. cabin (kitchen, lounge and shower room) and a ‘tree house’ feel verandah with a table and chairs, a barbeque area, riverside campfire area and a further all weather camp fire area. The field is protected as a Site of Special Scientific Interest for its flora/fauna especially otters...and if you listen carefully you might hear distant peacocks calling.

The wagon is situated in rural hills, just 5 miles inland from the picturesque Cardigan Bay and Coastal Path, in West Wales noted for it's Blue Flag beaches and Dolphins. 12 miles either way from the small market town of Cardigan and the popular seaside town of New Quay.

The wagon, cabin and meadow ........   The wagon has a double bed with under bed heating to make it extra snug during any cold spells. ......you will able to both see and hear the nearby River Ceri meandering just within 20 feet of your bed!

.... a few woodland steps lead from the wagon up to the Cabin .......

..... the Cabin ( recently refurbished to a high spec.) is split into three rooms ~ the kitchen, bathroom and garden room. In the kitchen there is a full size fridge, electric Induction hob, microwave, kettle, toaster etc, traditional butler sink with oak worktops, table, chairs and electric heater.  In the bathroom there is a quality power shower, flushing loo, and electric towel heater.  In the garden room there is a comfy settee, digital radio, table and a gorgeously warm woodburner stove. Loads of helpful info. of the all you might need to make your stay even more memorable!

........ the verandah leads from the garden room........ surrounded by trees, giving a romantic and secluded ‘tree house’ feel with wooden seating and table over looking the Wagon, the river and the glorious surrounding countryside vista.

Down by the river’s edge there is seating and a traditional campfire

There is a further cosy 'all weather' camp fire area with wooden seating and a table...and if  that is not enough we also just added delightful hammock overlooking the Wagon, River and dairy fields beyond...just lay back and drift away!

You can stay all year round – both cabin and wagon have wood burners and electric heaters. Our stay here was a christmas present, and it was perfect. The place was beautiful. The Cabin was more cosy than we could have imagined. Everything was perfect, the owner was lovely, the setting was amazing, and the Wagon itself was just brilliant. There was constantly birds on the feeders and enough wood for a lovely fire. We couldn't have asked for more. Would definatly recommend and am keen to go back for longer!    Jan.2018
